**About Inhabit****About Blue Tent****Job Description Summary****What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)**- Lead the continued development, maintenance, and optimization of our custom WordPress plugin designed for enterprise-scale environments.
- Create, refine, and maintain custom Gutenberg blocks using **React.js**, with a focus on high performance and responsiveness.
- Debug complex backend and frontend issues quickly and efficiently, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring an optimal user experience across all devices and browsers.
- Optimize database queries and overall WordPress site performance, ensuring fast load times and high scalability.
- Write and maintain high-quality, efficient, and secure code, adhering to **development best practices** such as automated testing (PHPUnit, Jest, Cypress), CI/CD pipelines, PHP and JavaScript linting, and version control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement in both code and infrastructure and proactively implement solutions.
**What We're Looking For (Minimum qualifications)**- Expert level WordPress experience (5+ years), including Gutenberg editor.
- Advanced level design skills (2+ years)- Expert-level proficiency in **WordPress development**, specifically with **React.js** and **Gutenberg** block development.




- Proven track record of working on complex, large-scale, multi-site WordPress projects.
- Extensive experience with local development environments, particularly **Docker**.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, optimizing queries and improving database performance.
- Solid understanding of **WordPress architecture**, including the **WP-REST-API**.
- Experience with **automated testing frameworks** like PHPUnit (PHP), Jest (JavaScript), and Cypress (end-to-end testing).
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot and debug issues related to API integrations, React-based components, and backend performance.
- Familiarity with **CI/CD pipelines** and automated deployment processes.
- Experience with **browser debugging** tools and techniques for optimizing frontend performance across various devices and browsers.
- An understanding of cloud infrastructure and how to build scalable WordPress solutions.
