Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Lead Advanced Process Engineer is responsible for manufacturing techniques needed for the optimization of processes within the manufacturing environment, including the development and maintenance of process design, cost estimating, and the sharing of best practices within Cooper Standard.This position works closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing and Cost Estimating.Primary ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with Cooper Standard's manufacturing facilities to reduce cost, improve quality and achieve advancements in both process and product technologyAssist in quote process by reviewing Cooper Standard capabilities and desired locationLeads the research and implementation of new or improved equipment/tooling/processes to satisfy changing production requirementsAssists in the validation of new processes as necessary.May be required to obtain/negotiate approval or revisions to customer product specificationsInitiates projects and tasks through creative insight, leveraging manufacturing and product knowledgeConfirms feasibility/capability of proposed product/process improvements using statistical methodsReports status and progress of projects monthly through Project Status ReportFor assigned technologies, will act as communicative link between CS technical and manufacturing sites, including other general regions, for the purpose of process development, best practice exchange, standardization, etc.Keeps current on developments related to manufacturing and product technology through meetings with suppliers, customers, trade publications, etc.May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description#J-*****-Ljbffr
