Job Summary
The Sr Operational Excellence Manager will lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across BD BOC Juarez to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive Operational Excellence strategy aligned with company goals and objectives.
Lead and facilitate Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring measurable results and sustainable gains.
Mentor, coach, and train employees at all levels on Operational Excellence methodologies, tools, and principles (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, DMAIC).
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement across various departments, including manufacturing, supply chain, and administrative functions.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and report progress to senior leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of operational inefficiencies and develop effective solutions.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving throughout the organization.
Manage and prioritize a portfolio of operational excellence projects, ensuring timely execution and resource allocation.
Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in operational excellence and lean manufacturing.
Prepare and present detailed reports, analyses, and recommendations to management.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operational excellence,
lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior management capacity.
Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma is required.
Master Black Belt preferred.
Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing significant operational improvement projects with quantifiable results.
Strong understanding and practical application of Lean principles (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Poka-Yoke) and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and project management tools.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and foster a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience in the medical device or a highly regulated manufacturing industry required.
English communication is required.
English level at least 90%.
