Position Summary Deliver to the productive areas in the organization, a validated and approved product and process at the end of a project launching with complete, reviewed, and approved quality documentation internally and by the customer focusing on the design for manufacturing and assembly developed within the D/PFMEA and control plan to ensure the plant and the customer requirements are met at SOP.A stablished, measurable, and achievable acceptance criterion, internal as well with customer.Besides, assure the accomplishment of legal and government requirements through the Borg Warner Quality System.Responsibilities To be the main contact with the client in the quality part as well as the main quality contact in the program.To serve as the VOC (Vice of the customer) focused on the APQP/program management process, D/PFMEA, control plan and PPAP process.Serve as the program quality person to the customer.Ensure that Borg Warner processes, standards and program specific requirements are implemented and followed.Maintain effective communication with the client (internal and external) to ensure that what is communicated is not an impediment to achieving results and objectives for both parties.Cascade customer specific requirements for the program to the cross‐functional team and convert them into deliverables for the plant.Provide 100% oversight of APQP local 8 D's.Prepare the lessons‐learned workshop and read‐across application with the cross‐functional team.Drive run‐&rate; targets.Monitor program KPI with the CFT and act if needed.Act as leader on the local program audits (We AR, VDA 6.3 and others).
Highlight program quality risk and its escalation.Ensure the program team has the program information for APQP and NDPD on time.Provide regular updates for the program manager, quality manager and others.Develop the control plan in different phases of the launch and its correlation with all related documents.Approve pertinent steps to the function for changes of engineering in SAP (CR's),



with the tasks that are assigned, looking for punctuality and required evidence where necessary (#SREA, PSW signed by client, etc.).
Participate in the engineering processes for assemblies, components and others applicable by performing proper risk analysis where appropriate.Elaborate rejections towards suppliers through the project buyer during launch when the SDE team is not involved.Provide feedback to the designer in drawing review meetings taking into consideration lessons learned from other programs and potential risk.Designate, using the BW and customer tools, the product special characteristics that need to be declared in our specification documents.Ensure Borg Warner has the scope and means to measure the dimensions declared in our drawings.Job Profile & Experience Profile Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Similar.Fluent level of English.Minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably at a Tier‐1 supplier.Qualifications Proven comprehensive knowledge of the APQP process with an automotive OEM.Understanding and practical knowledge of multiple mechanical measurement techniques (CMM, round scan, contour graph, surface roughness m/c, plug/thread gauges).
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean, Green or Black Belt training.Core Tools practitioner.Familiar with definition and management of special characteristics.Demonstrated skills in quality and APQP.Proficiency in problem‐solving tools (8‐D, Ishikawa).
Knowledge of customer‐specific requirements.Knowledge of quality systems (ISO, IATF, VDA).
Medium‐level GD&T; knowledge.Desired knowledge of SAP QM module.Desired knowledge of the IMDS system and submission process.Experience with customer portals (Covisint FORD, GM Supply Power, VW Konzern, FCA e Supplier Connect).
Excellent communication skills with foreign customers.Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build consensus and sell ideas at all levels of the organization.Preferred Experience Desired knowledge of SAP QM module, IMDS system, and customer portals.
