We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join ourteam. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with Mexican statutory regulations The idóneo candidate will have extensive experience in labor and EHS regulations , as an active member of the FireBrigade, you will also be responsible for training unionized employees in EHS matters
Responsibilities
- Practice safe work techniques and reinforce established safety policies, guidelines, and procedures by the company.
- Comprehensive knowledge of EHS Mexican statutory regulations.
- Conduct and contribute to Site Training Plans by mentoring employees, emergency response as well as the coordination of modular training programs for the operation.
- Team Risk Assessments and regularly conduct training needs analysis.
- Implement and evaluate preventive systems to reduce applicable risks in accordance with current regulations on the matter.
- Ability to train others, particularly unionized employees, in EHS matters as needed.
Experience & Skills
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual Spanish English (Preferred).
- Knowledge about hazardous waste management.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
- The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
