**EHS Technician**

**Overview**:
Safety Technician will support and drive safety efforts and the client’s culture of safety, support safety compliance, accountability, and administer a safety management system.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate as an experienced assistant to an Health, Safety, & Environmental
- Assist higher level Health, Safety, & Environmental practices policies and procedures staff in conducting surveys, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of incidents and activities
- Gather data as directed by supervisor to be used to monitor and track Health, Safety, & Environmental practices policies and procedures standards, programs and goals
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:




- 2+ years direct experience in a safety role
- Environmental and health experience
- Knowledge of safety and health rules, regulations and OSHA standards
- Safety experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Experience with safety management systems
- Commitment to safety in all job aspects
- Ability to take direction and drive both policy and cultural safety standards
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of governmental norms
- Knowledge of behavioral based safety programs
