**What you will do**
- **Expand and maintain backend code** for distributed event processing systems using **Java** and **Spring Boot**;
- **Build and optimize** **data pipelines** involving **Kafka** and ensure seamless integration with other platforms;
- **Develop and optimize** scalable **RESTful APIs** and **build** **GraphQL APIs** from scratch;
- **Manage and enhance** database interactions for both **SQL and NoSQL systems**;
- **Leverage AWS services**, including SQS, to support the scalability and reliability of backend systems;
- Contribute to the Operational Lineage system and MDP Data Lineage collaboration to meet delivery goals.
**Must haves**
- **4+ years** of experience in **Java** and **Spring Boot**;
- Experience working with **Kafka** as a data source, including building interfaces with other platforms;
- General **knowledge** of both **SQL** and **NoSQL databases**;
- Proven experience in **developing and optimizing** RESTful APIs with high scalability and performance;
- Hands-on experience building GraphQL APIs from scratch;
- Familiarity with **AWS services**,



including SQS;
- Proven track record of contributing to 2-3 projects using this tech stack.
**Nice to have**
- Experience with **PostgreSQL**.
