- **Software Development**:Experience with modern programming languages. Back-end and/or microservices experience is a bonus.

**About this role***:
The core services team is responsible for some of the key services on Udemy's teaching and learning platform. We work primarily with a high-volume, low-latency microservices environment with Kotlin, Spring, GraphQL, Kotlin, gRPC, and DynamoDB.
**What you'll be doing**
- Contribute to the process of defining and designing features in a highly collaborative agile environment
- Design, specify and implement features and services
- Participate in code reviews making sure that our code is well designed, tested, robust, secure, performant and readable
- Document, monitor and maintain features post-release
- Grow your Software Engineering skills
**What you'll have**
Education or experience in computer science, AI, mathematics or other related analytical (i.e. STEM) disciplines.
Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming principles
Experience with modern programming languages. We often use Python, Java, React, and Javascript.
Excellent communication skills in English
