**MAJOR FUNCTION**:
The Production Manager’s primary responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that company operates a safe work environment and specifies safe manufacturing practices.
- Leading and managing the production function to ensure that all manufacturing activities are performed to the appropriate process specifications, quality plan requirements, and test process specifications.
- Ensuring that product quality standards are achieved and that production employees are trained and certified for the skills required performing their function.
- Ensuring hourly and daily production targets are achieved to meet on time delivery requirements to customer request dates.
- Maintain capacity to ensure that capacity does not constrain production while concurrently enhancing capital equipment returns on investment goals and direct labor productivity goals.
- Collaborate with process engineering, test engineering, and product development to drive fact based continuous improvement to constantly and consistently improve process PPM and productivity.
- Manage RMA process and cross train production and RMA personnel to ensure resources area available to achieve RMA service goals.
- Collaborate with process engineering to ensure that all preventative maintenance is performed to the required schedules.
- Define key processes and monitors their performance with weekly or monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) and implements countermeasure when process performance is below defined targets.
- Performs related duties as necessary while following company policies and procedures.




- Ensures Lean Manufacturing and quality chain tools are deployed and followed with extreme rigor
- Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Highlights and Drives cost reduction efforts through recommendations for process specification changes, or outsourcing alternatives
Experiência y requisitos
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor degree (Industrial, Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering, or associated field of study)
- 5+ Experience in maquiladora environment, Electronics Industry preferable
**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Bilingual
- LEAN Manufacturing tools
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong Communication skills
- Strong Leader and team work skills
- High energy level required
- Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identifies and addresses problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget
