Are you ready to take your purchasing expertise to the next level? At **SKF Monterrey**, we are looking for a **Purchasing Specialist for Direct Materials** to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting our factories and driving strategic sourcing initiatives that enhance operational efficiency across the region.
**Objective of the Position**:
Execute the purchasing process for **Direct Materials**, support local factories, and implement strategic sourcing results. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient procurement operations, implement contracts and agreements, and contribute to the development of standardized P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead negotiations and sign supplier agreements within defined thresholds.




- Coordinate cost reduction and supplier consolidation projects.
- Review purchase requisitions and identify optimal sources for spot buys.
- Provide procurement guidance and support to internal stakeholders throughout the procurement cycle.
- Recommend cost-effective or beneficial alternatives to original purchase requests.
- Monitor supplier performance using QCDIM (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation, Management) metrics.
- Drive sourcing initiatives in alignment with the Purchasing Group Manager.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the **automotive industry**.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Experience in purchasing **automotive direct materials** and supplier management (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with purchasing strategies and ERP systems is a plus.
