Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer.
**What you’ll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
Provide day to day support to production cells on Manufacturing Engineering related matters to ensure availability for assembly processes & equipment to collaborate on Production’s metrics & goal achievement, meeting all times with the applicable Safety, Quality, Health & Environmental and Human Resources policies and procedures.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
A. Ensure Process & Assembly equipment, tooling and fixtures are always available for Production
B. Ensure Process & Assembly tooling, fixtures and special tools complies with the required standards with the max /min inventory.
C. Keep record and maintain all drawings, spare parts list and technical information for equipment, tooling, fixtures and special tools
D. Drives Continuous Improvements opportunities to process & assembly equipment, tooling and fixtures.
E. Develop and implement error proofing systems to the equipment assigned.
F. Implement standardization of standard work and manufacturing best practices.
G. Participate in the cell team to achieve metrics on High Five metrics.
H. Ensure the engineering changes are executed as planned to avoid temporary deviations.
I. Evaluate and issue temporary deviations for manufacturing processes if needed
J. Support the training in order to develop technicians or operators as required.
K. Attend customer complains (8D) and implement corrective action
L. Maintain the manufacturing process in the area in compliance with the internal and external requirements of internal and external.
M. Develop tooling’s and process definition for new products,
N. Capital Projects.
O. Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs,



cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.
**Qualifications**:
**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE**:
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical, Mechatronic, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Experienced in automation process and familiar with PLC programing.
- Experience in designing and implementing fixtures.
- Green Belt certification (desirable)
- Fluent in English/Spanish
- Knowledge Core Tools
- MRP SAP (Desirable)

Knowledge and experience in the process value stream, specifications, equipment, cycle time and capabilities. Competencies considered include, electrical circuit design, programmable controllers, safety interlock circuitry, lock out tag out, isolation of potential energy, ergonomics and material handling methods and procedures. Experience and knowledge with Hazardous Materials and Workplace Exposure including chemical use and storage, gases, noises, dust, fumes, vapors, and ventilation considerations. Engagement in efforts to influence 100% ownership of safety, accountability, and the sharing of knowledge to a continued focus of creating a zero incident workplace.
**Manufacturing Process Design**: The ability to review and analyze product designs so as to assure manufacturability; Knowledge and experience in the design, selection, specification, and optimization of equipment, tooling, processes, required to make a product according to the desired volume, cost, and quality level. This includes related competencies such as industry standards, drawing interpretation, plant layout development, material flow analysis, and product/process testing and troubleshooting. Support and engage internal/external research and development regarding innovative technology, engineering, and process development.
**Manufacturing Value Stream Success Factors and Continuous Improvement**: The inherent ability to recognize and act upon challenges and situations that contribute to success in manufacturing operations. Communication, cooperation, and problem resolution from the supply base to the customer.
