Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Cloud Application Architect. The Cloud Application Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and secure architecture, ensuring best practices in cloud infrastructure, and continually optimizing performance and cost-efficiency. The role involves hands-on development, providing architectural guidance, and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

Expertise in Cloud Computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Experience in designing and implementing cloud-based applications

Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices

Skilled in Programming Languages (Java, Python, C#, etc.)

Strong understanding of Networking, Security, and Compliance in the cloud

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Experience with microservices,



containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment

Total IT Experience – 14 to 15+ years

Can be from any technical programming background like .NET or Java (e.g., .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, EF Core, ASP.NET MVC, REST API)

3+ years of experience in RESTful HTTP services design

Exposure or hands-on design of API using RAML or OpenAPI Specification

4+ years of experience in developing microservices using Docker or similar containerized platform

3-5 years of experience in serverless architecture with exposure to Azure Functions (AWS optional)

Strong experience in cloud-native app development and integration services (Function, Logic Apps, API Manager, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, Storage, Caching, etc.)

Strong experience in Azure deployment, monitoring and operation automation using services (App Service, AKS, VM, DevOps, etc.)

Familiarity or hands-on in using DevOps pipelines and managing code repositories and releases using Git/Bitbucket

Knowledge of designing SPA applications using React (preferred)

5+ years of experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, writing stored procedures, performance tuning, and handling deadlocks and data locking/blocking scenarios
