Understand and consistently execute all aspects of the design process and project complexities to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.

Prepare schematic designs that optimize design solutions and plans with responsibility for presentation drawings, models, and narratives.

Understand overall project goals and constraints, including client values, construction and design budget limitations, and schedule requirements.

Evaluate design alternatives based on site and code requirements.

Apply knowledge of building technology, building materials, construction methods, costs, and code to the design process.

Understand and respond to technical implications and design decisions.

Prepare client presentation packages, external publications, and award submissions.

Participate in marketing opportunities and develops successful client relationships for continuing business.

Uses graphic storytelling to advance the project delivery and scope.

Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.

Participate and collaborate in internal design reviews, charettes, and pin‑ups and external community engagements.

Demonstrate strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance and design ideas.

Coordinate effectively with partners and consultants throughout the schematic and design development phases.

Project Designer you will:

Advanced knowledge of 2D/3D production software

Advanced Revit

Conceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper

Microsoft Office / Adobe Suite

Visualization tools such as Enscape and VRay

Physical modeling tools such as 3D Printing and Laser cutting

Presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop

Environmental Analysis software such as Ladybug and Climate Studio

Licensure/Certifications/Education

LEED GA within 6 months of hire

Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation

Preparing for ARE and active involvement in AXP

Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline required

Fluent or advanced proficiency in English
