Job
- Lead Rig & Fixture Team
- Communicate technical topics/projects on a global basis
- Must be versátil and adapt to changing departmental priorities
- Initial assignment: development of power tool test fixtures & equipment
- Follow scrap process, materials & storage
- Provide test support to new product development & value projects
- Develop advanced electric‑mechanical test fixtures/equipment for power tool testing, focusing on electrical and electronic development, HMI and PLC programming, LabVIEW programming
- Design control system for robot, focus on PLC and robot interface design and programming
- Responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance for FSTC reliability test equipment
- Execute routine calibration for all FSTC equipment/meters, focusing on electric parameters
- Prepare and modify documents to support the Test Systems Group and Main Test Lab
- Write and upgrade technical procedures maintained in the technical database on B&D; intranet
- Use Windchill, BOM interpretation, drawing interpretation
- Maintain and follow correct metrics (security, quality, delivery, cost & production)
Qualifications
- 1‑2 years minimum experience in electrical & mechanical automation equipment operation or maintenance/repair
- Self‑starter with minimal supervision
- Strong background in PLC programming, LabVIEW programming, electrical or electronic design
- Good communication skills
- College degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- Ability to use standard electrical and mechanical measuring instruments
- Ability to work with verbal directions and written procedures
