The Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales by providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience. The Associate maximizes sales by delivering efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service and ensuring the store remains neat, clean, and well‑presented at all times. The Sales Associate models AEO values and Customer First behaviors in all actions and interactions to create a positive experience.

Responsibilities

- Consistently demonstrate the AEO Customer First selling standards to achieve daily sales goals.
- Drive brand loyalty by informing customers of all AEO loyalty programs.
- Use company tools and technology to provide accurate product knowledge.
- Support fellow employees by sharing knowledge and assisting in customer interactions.
- Outfit customers with key looks and incorporate latest trends and promotions based on style.
- Promote awareness of AEO and aerie brands by introducing additional brand channels.
- Process register sales transactions quickly and accurately following cash control procedures.
- Restock returned merchandise to correct locations; label and remove damaged goods appropriately.




- Maintain company brand standards of neatness and safety in all areas of the store.
- Execute efficient handling of merchandise from shipment processing, floor sets, markdown optimization, and replenishment while maintaining backroom SOP.
- Resolve customer concerns consistently with company policy and partner with store leadership on elevated issues.
- Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, leadership, and associates.
- Collaborative and works well within a team.
- Open to receiving feedback and acting on it.
- Able to stand and move for extended periods; reach, bend, stoop as required.
- Available for versátil schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Can handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
- Can perform all essential job functions.
- Proficient with technology.
