This is not a construction, civil engineering, IT, or administrative project management position.

We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Project Engineer with direct experience introducing products into production, solving technical problems on the manufacturing floor, and coordinating manufacturing readiness activities. Candidates must have solid experience in discrete manufacturing, New Product Introduction, BOMs, engineering drawings, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and process improvement.

About the Role

At Byrne Electrical Specialists Mexico, we are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer to support the successful introduction, launch, and improvement of products at our Mexico manufacturing operation.

This position serves as the technical connection between our Mexico plant and Engineering and Program Management teams in the United States.

The role combines project leadership with direct technical execution. You will not only coordinate activities—you will also work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering to prepare products and processes for manufacturing, solve issues, and deliver measurable improvements.

What You Will Do

- Lead local manufacturing readiness activities for new product introductions and product transfers.
- Serve as the main technical contact in Mexico for U.S. Program Managers and Engineering teams.
- Translate engineering information into practical manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate and validate Bills of Materials, assembly drawings, component drawings, and technical documentation.
- Lead or support FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, work instructions,



and initial product training.
- Determine production run rates and support accurate information in the ERP/MRP system.
- Process Engineering Change Orders and coordinate their implementation in production.
- Support product and component localization projects.
- Work directly with production teams to identify and solve manufacturing problems.
- Lead structured root cause analysis and corrective improvement activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and IT on process automation and mechanization projects.
- Evaluate project alternatives and calculate return on investment.
- Manage several projects while remaining actively involved in technical execution and shop-floor implementation.

Required Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, NPI, or product industrialization.
- Experience within a discrete manufacturing environment.
- Direct experience launching new products or transferring products and processes into manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Bills of Materials and engineering drawings.




- Experience translating technical documentation into manufacturing processes and product structures.
- Practical knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools such as VSM, SMED, PDCA, JIT, and Poka-Yoke.
- Experience using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, root cause analysis, or Six Sigma.
- Experience coordinating Engineering Change Orders.
- Ability to work directly on the manufacturing floor and follow projects through implementation.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems; Syteline is a plus.
- Power BI experience is a plus.
- Intermediate English, minimum B2, for regular communication with U.S. teams.

- Salary range of 40,000–$45,000 MXN gross per month, based on experience and technical alignment.
