POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Quality Engineer to lead software quality initiatives for enterprise-level product development in a highly regulated environment. This role is responsible for defining test strategies, designing scalable automation frameworks, leading automation efforts across web, mobile, and APIs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through modern Agile practices and CI/CD pipelines.

The idóneo candidate will be a hands-on automation leader with deep expertise in Selenium, Appium, SQL, GitLab, and test framework development while mentoring junior QA engineers and collaborating closely with software development teams.





ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead software quality engineering activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Define comprehensive test strategies based on product requirements and functional specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.
- Build automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, and API automation tools.
- Execute automation across web, mobile, and API platforms.
- Integrate automated test suites into GitLab CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Perform database validation using SQL queries.
- Troubleshoot automation failures by analyzing application logs, server logs, and database records.
- Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders.
- Conduct peer reviews of automation code and test cases.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Report test progress, risks, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
- Continuously improve QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies.
- Leverage AI-assisted testing tools such as GitHub Copilot and TrueTest to improve productivity and test optimization.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards within regulated environments.
