Project Manager/Quality Specialist Mid

Responsibilities

The Project Quality Specialist is responsible for developing and executing standardization of manufacturing quality enablers. Must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution of vehicle quality. The engineer will have experience in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and present outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.

- Performing root cause analysis of quality issues
- Recommending and implementing cost‑effective permanent corrective actions
- Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators
- Manage engineering changes working with a cross‑functional team to ensure timely execution
- Conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation and will be the point of contact for engineering quality and all product‑related incidents
- Ensure the delivery of third‑party quality metrics
- Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
- Support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership
- Establish partnerships both internally and externally




- Represent the Voice of the Customer to the platform teams and contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles
- Audit of vehicle assembly plants

Education / Experience

Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace/Aeronautical

2+ years of experience

- Desirable experience using SAQ (sustainability suppliers evaluation)
- Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information
- Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software
- Proven track record of developing and executing standardization; experience with cross‑functional responsibilities in a lean organization
- Previous experience managing Engineering Changes
- Quality background
- Experience in OEMS is a plus
