Main Activities
1. Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for the sort operation, managing a team group to meet all building’s goals.
2. Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and Delivery Service Providers.
3. Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the delivery station, overseeing operations that focus on the delivery of Amazon orders directly to customers. Lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs, management representatives, and their drivers.
Ensure a safe workplace, properly trained people, and address their needs so they can focus on their jobs. Lead change at internet speed; innovation is essential for our general success.
Daily operational tasks include receiving, scanning, lifting, and moving shipments up to 25 kg, routing shipments within the AMZL coverage area, supporting and assigning job duties to process assistants, adapting to sudden changes, tracking and monitoring sorting operation and drivers’ dispatch.

Technical Supervisory Responsibilities
Distribution Center / Fulfillment Operations
- Oversee end‑to‑end fulfillment center operations, including inbound receiving, stowing, picking, packing,
and outbound shipping processes to meet on‑time delivery targets.
- Manage inbound operations: coordinate dock scheduling, trailer unloading, freight receiving, and product putaway to optimize throughput and minimize dwell time.
- Manage outbound operations: oversee pick, pack, and ship processes ensuring order accuracy, cycle time adherence, and carrier dispatch schedules are met.
- Monitor and drive key operational metrics such as Units Per Hour (UPH), Throughput Per Hour (TPH), and Cost Per Unit (CPU) across all fulfillment processes.
Inventory Management
- Lead and execute cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy above thresholds (e.g., 99%+ bin accuracy).
- Conduct root‑cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to reduce shrinkage and misplacement.
- Manage ASIN selection processes, including slotting optimization, bin assignment, and product placement strategies to maximize pick efficiency and storage utilization.
- Oversee inventory health metrics including aged inventory, excess and obsolete stock, and sellable/unsellable unit reconciliation.
Demand Planning & Inventory Projections
- Collaborate with planning teams to analyze demand forecasts and translate them into labor and capacity plans for the fulfillment center.
- Develop and maintain inventory projection models to anticipate stock levels, identify potential stockouts, and support replenishment decisions.
- Perform demand analysis leveraging historical data, seasonal trends, and promotional calendars to ensure adequate staffing and space allocation.
- Partner with upstream supply‑chain teams to align inbound volume projections with warehouse capacity and labor availability.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify and implement process improvements across inbound, storage, and outbound workflows using Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and data analytics tools to monitor real‑time operational performance and drive data‑informed decisions.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipment preparation.
- Lead cross‑functional coordination between transportation, inventory, and fulfillment teams to resolve bottlenecks and ensure seamless end‑to‑end operations.

The manager maintains safety standards, quality control, and process improvements while handling administrative duties and resolving operational challenges. Success requires strong leadership, excellent problem‑solving skills, quick decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and Amazon’s high delivery standards.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, data links, etc.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean methodology techniques.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
