- Bachelor's Degree Public Accountant required.
5 years Maquiladora.
**Position Purpose**:
This position will lead part of the Mexicali accounting team that may include any of the following groups: Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Tax and/or Treasury functions.
The accounting lead will report directly to the accounting manager.
- Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- ASSIGN DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY TASKS TO THE TEAM, ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES BY POSITION.
- REVIEW PREPAYROLL, PAYROLL AND EMPLOYEE PAYMENTS EVERY WEEK.
- REVIEW WEEKLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLES, CONFIRMING THE ACCURACY INTERNAL CONTROLS.
- REVIEW AND APPROVE JOURNAL ENTRIES AND RECONCILIATIONS.
- REVIEW THE TAXES PAYMENTS.
- Correct issues identified in various account reconciliations.
Additional Functions:
- Assist in Accounting Continuous Improvement efforts, analyzing VAT Devolutions and ensuring Internal Controls are being followed.

- Provide training to accounting/finance team.
