- Department Establishment: Define the structure, processes, and workflows for the new project management department to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Tool Implementation: Identify, evaluate, and implement project management tools and software tailored to the company's needs.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to educate team members on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Cultural Integration: Advocate for a project-oriented mindset across the organization, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and values.
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, to guide project execution.
- Resource Coordination: Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project activities and meet project milestones.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical oversight and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring engineering solutions meet design requirements and quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or deliverables.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, progress, and key milestones to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives and expectations.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and managing variances to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Schedule Management: Manage project schedules, identifying critical path activities and dependencies, and taking proactive measures to prevent delays and ensure on-time delivery.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and progress reports, to support project communication and decision-making.




Experiência y requisitos
- 3+ years of experience in engineering roles, with exposure to project management and project execution.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with experience using software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, JIRA, Monday or similar.
- Strong technical background in engineering principles and practices, with expertise in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, têxtile).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to completion, delivering results on time and within budget.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
