Construction Scheduler – Hospitality Projects
The Construction Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for large-scale hospitality projects, including hotels and mixed-use developments. This role ensures accurate planning and timely delivery across all phases of the project using Oracle Primavera P6.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the project master schedule for design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Prepare and maintain the Basis of Schedule .
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure timely updates and accurate progress reporting.
- Apply resource loading to establish optimal staffing and crew plans.
- Calculate and manage Earned Value KPIs and progress tracking using S-curves.
- Implement owner’s scheduling specifications and processes.
- Coordinate progress tracking with the GC and stakeholders for all project milestones.
- Ensure schedule activities are coded by WBS and integrated with control systems for progress and forecast updates.
- Facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions (IPS) with discipline leads, vendors, and client representatives.
- Establish and monitor the critical path , analyzing impacts and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Incorporate scope changes and trends into the schedule.
- Provide detailed reporting (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) on plan vs. presente progress and forecast strategies.
- Comply with owner policies, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience
- 7 years in project controls, planning, and scheduling.
- Proven experience in hospitality projects (hotels, resorts, mixed-use developments).
- Expertise in developing detailed project plans from master schedules using Primavera P6.
- Ability to monitor trends, analyze schedule impacts, and prepare status reports.
- Strong ability to adjust schedules and report discrepancies against baseline.
Education & Skills
- Degree in Architecture, Civil, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
- Analytical, organized, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
