About Us
We design and manufacture **slurry pumps, dredging systems, excavator attachments, and power units** used in mining, marine, construction, oil & gas, and wastewater.
We're building out our Tijuana engineering/manufacturing center and need a **Configuration / PLM Administrator** to keep product data clean, controlled, and flowing from design to the shop floor.
The Role (What You'll Own)
- **PLM/PDM Administration**: Own the CAD vault and PLM—users, permissions, workflows, templates, data cards, numbering schemes, revision rules, backups, and upgrades.
(SolidWorks PDM Pro preferred; Arena/Agile/Teamcenter/Windchill also valued.)
- **Change Control (ECR/ECN)**: Run the full change process—intake, routing, CCB meetings, effectivity, release—ensuring drawings, models, specs, and **BOMs** are synchronized.
- **BOM Governance**: Maintain EBOMs in PLM and coordinate EBOM→MBOM handoff to **ERP (Epicor)**; manage part masters, alternates/substitutes, AML/AVL, and configuration options.
- **Document Control**: Create and control SOPs, work instructions, test procedures, and manuals; ensure **ISO ****** compliance and audit readiness.
- **Data Quality & Migration**: Clean legacy data, normalize metadata/attributes, and drive standard naming/numbering and classification.
- **Integrations & Automation**: Support or develop basic scripts/queries (e.g., PowerShell/SQL/API) to improve release, prints, and report generation.
- **Training & Support**: Coach engineers, planners, and shop users on PLM/ECN best practices; run quick guides/job aids; first-line support for PDM/PLM issues.
- **KPIs & Reporting**: Track and publish **ECN cycle time, past-due changes, BOM accuracy, right-first-time release**, and vault uptime.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Process redlines from manufacturing/service into controlled updates.
- Ensure released revisions and **correct BOMs** are what the shop builds from.
- Coordinate with **Quality** (deviations/waivers), **Supply Chain** (AML/AVL), and **Operations** (work instructions).
- Prepare export packs for suppliers (neutral CAD, PDFs, spec sets) with correct revs.
- Support first-article builds and part approvals (FAI/PPAP documentation).
- Participate in cross-border builds and meetings with the San Diego team.
What You Bring
- **3-7+ years** in **Configuration Management / PLM / Document Control** within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on admin experience with **SolidWorks PDM Professional** or comparable PLM; strong understanding of **revision control, effectivity, and change workflows**.
- Working knowledge of **ERP/MRP (Epicor preferred)** for item/BOM/routing alignment.
- Able to read mechanical drawings (GD&T; basics), understand weldments/sheet-metal/machined parts and assemblies.
- Process mindset with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- **Bilingual Spanish/English** (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience in pumps/rotating equipment or heavy fabrication.
- ISO ****/AS**** audit exposure; quality tools (RCCA/5-Why).
- Scripting/reporting (PowerShell, SQL, API), PDM replication, or data migration projects.
- Familiarity with AML/AVL, compliance (RoHS/REACH), and export-controlled docs.
Success Metrics
- **ECN cycle time** ↓, **past-due ECNs** → zero trend
- **BOM accuracy / first-pass release** ≥ 98%
- **Vault uptime** ≥ 99.5% and **ticket response** < 1 business day
What We Offer
- Competitive MX compensation & benefits
- Ownership of the PLM/CM backbone of the business
- Growth path to **PLM/CM Lead** or **Engineering Operations Manager**:
- Collaborative Tijuana-San Diego team with fast decisions
Pay: $20,****** - $30,****** per month
