**Location**: Puerto Vallarta (must reside in the city)
**Work Modality**: Remote for the first 4 months, then on-site at our Marina Vallarta office
**Salary**: $20,000 to $25,000 MXN gross per month
**Schedule**: Full-time, Monday to Friday
**About the Role** CFO Rick, a U.S.based accounting firm, is looking for a **detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant** to join our growing team in Mexico.
This is a unique opportunity to work with U.S.based clients in a professional, multicultural, and dynamic environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) in accordance with US GAAP.
- Perform accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly closings.
- Handle invoicing, supplier payments, and cash flow management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and regulatory documentation for U.S. clients.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:




- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- At least 1 year of accounting experience (preferably with exposure to tax or U.S. clients).
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or CONTPAQi.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- High level of responsibility, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Able to work remotely and transition to on-site work after 4 months.
- Stable job history is highly valued.
- CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
