ResponsibilitiesDrives cost‐out projects and events to achieve savings, ensuring materials are procured at the lowest total cost per specification in a timely manner.
Evaluates procurement methods and applies the most effective negotiating techniques based on the situation.
Works with other department process owners to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve productivity, cost, quality and service.
Manages and analyzes data to identify opportunities for improvement.Responsible to work in all commodities in Direct and Indirect spend.
Also supports Sourcing/Procurement activities on VAVE projects.Support Eaton's Sourcing initiatives, driving results measured by lower material costs, responsive supplier performance, process and service improvements, and resultant productivity throughout the supply chain.Lead the supplier market analysis and ensure supplier qualification for RFQ's.Facilitate and execute cost‐reduction projects.Lead negotiations for site‐specific projects.Evaluate cost‐reduction projects developed by colleagues.Assist other department process owners (Engineering, Production, Operations, and Finance) in identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve productivity, cost, quality and service throughout the external supply chain.Ensure that materials are procured at the lowest total cost per specifications, efficiently and delivered on time.Evaluate procurement methods and recommend/implement new procedures, strategies,
and/or suppliers.Lead Cost‐Out events.Key Performance MetricsAchieve sourcing savings and cost competitiveness goals.Supplier on‐time delivery.Supplier PPM quality.Minimize material inflation impact and tariff mitigation.Supplier lead time.Resiliency metric for risk mitigation.Payment terms improvement and other responsiveness measures as appropriate.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Productivity.5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain.Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in project management.Proven capabilities of leadership of project teams.Technical KnowledgeProficient in Project Management methodologies.Knowledge of PPAP Validation processes.Negotiation skills.Knowledge of Manufacturing processes.Knowledge of legal contract negotiations and risk management.Soft SkillsExcellent communication skills (Spanish and English).
