About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer and Logistics Coordinator to join our operations support team. The Buyer and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing procurement activities and coordinating logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment essential for operational continuity. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, internal operations teams, and logistics providers to support project schedules and maintain inventory levels. The position requires managing purchase orders, tracking shipments, resolving supply chain issues, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Manage procurement processes including sourcing and issuing purchase orders
Coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues
Track shipments and update internal teams on status and potential delays
Maintain accurate records of procurement and logistics transactions
Collaborate with operations, finance,



and compliance teams to align purchasing with project needs
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in procurement and logistics
Support inventory management by forecasting needs and coordinating replenishment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
3-5 years of procurement and logistics experience, preferably in oil and gas or heavy industry
Training or certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is an asset
Familiarity with ERP and transportation management systems
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to procurement and logistics
Strong supplier management skills
Proficiency with procurement and logistics software systems
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
Understanding of regulatory compliance in procurement and transportation
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail
