**Position Summary**: We are seeking an experienced Networks Specialist & Internal Support Senior to join our IT team in Monterrey, Mexico.
This role combines network infrastructure management with senior-level internal IT support, ensuring optimal performance of our critical logistics systems and providing technical leadership within our organization.
**Network Infrastructure Management**:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure supporting our 3PL operations across multiple locations
- Configure and manage Fortinet security appliances including FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP wireless solutions
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network traffic
- Implement and maintain VPN connections for remote locations and partner integrations
- Ensure network security compliance with industry standards (C-TPAT, OEA, etc.)
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to support business growth
**Internal IT Support & Leadership**:
- Provide senior-level technical support for complex IT issues across the organization
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical system failures affecting logistics operations
- Mentor junior IT staff and coordinate technical training initiatives
- Manage IT infrastructure including servers, workstations,



and mobile devices
- Oversee backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Coordinate with logistics software vendors and third-party IT service providers
**Weekend Support Coverage**:
- Provide **remote technical support coverage**
- Respond to critical system alerts and network outages during weekend operations
- Maintain documentation of weekend incidents and resolution procedures
**Technical Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in network administration and IT support
- Fortinet certification preferred (NSE 4 or higher)
- Strong expertise with Fortinet product suite (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
- Experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Understanding of logistics/transportation software systems is a plus
