Tester Automation with Python Description Tester Automation Engineer specialized in Hardware-in-the-Loop (Hi L) testing and automation to ensure the reliability and quality of embedded software for automotive systems.
This role will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test cases in Hi L environments, analyzing system behavior, and integrating tests into continuous integration pipelines.
Key Responsibilities Design and execute test plans and test cases in Hi L environments (d SPACE, NI, Vector).
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, CAPL, or C#.
Validate ECU functionalities through CAN, LIN, Flex Ray, and Automotive Ethernet communication.
Perform diagnostic testing (UDS, OBD-II, XCP) and fault injection scenarios.
Analyze logs and measurement data with tools such as Control Desk, CANoe, MATLAB, Python (pandas/numpy), NI DIAdem.
Collaborate with development teams to identify, report, and track defects.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops).
Contribute to compliance with ISO ***** (functional safety) and ASPICE standards.
Maintain documentation for test cases, results, and quality metrics.




Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
English (B2) 2+ years of experience in Hi L testing and test automation.
ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification (desirable) Knowledge of ISO ***** / ASPICE (highly valued).
Experience in Hi L testing platforms d SPACE (automation Desk), NI Veri Stand/Test Stand, Vector CANoe).
Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Flex Ray, Automotive Ethernet).
3 a 5 years of experience in Python (APIS) CANOE / CAPL Experience with test management tools (Jira, Test Rail, Zephyr).
Understanding of embedded systems development lifecycle (V-Model, Agile).
SQL or time-series databases for test results management (desirable).
Desired Skills Experience with cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of continuous testing and shift-left methodologies.
Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or ECU software development.
Previous experience in automotive OEM or Tier 1 suppliers.
