Job Description

It is an entry‑level engineering program consisting of rotational assignments, technical training, and accelerated professional development, designed to provide a strong foundation for tomorrow’s engineers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Two‑year accelerated engineering development program designed to build a strong foundation for a successful engineering career at GE Vernova.
- Gain hands‑on experience through business‑critical assignments and challenging technical projects that directly contribute to GE Vernova products and technologies.
- Work in GE Vernova Querétaro, Mexico, supporting key business priorities through rotational assignments in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Contribute to high‑impact projects under the guidance and mentorship of experienced GE Vernova engineers.
- Develop a broad understanding of engineering disciplines while gaining exposure to real‑world challenges in the energy industry.
- Build strong technical and professional capabilities through a combination of practical experience, formal training, and leadership development.
- Participate in the prestigious Advanced Courses in Engineering (ACE) program: 1 year of classroom‑based training and 1 year of project‑based training.
- Strengthen technical problem‑solving skills through multidisciplinary engineering analysis, technical investigations, project execution, formal engineering reports, and presentations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering professionals across multiple functions and disciplines.
- Accelerate professional growth through structured development opportunities and exposure to GE Vernova’s global engineering community.
- Develop the technical and business acumen needed to innovate and help shape the future of energy.
- Graduate from the program with a strong foundation in engineering leadership, technical excellence, and business impact.
- Work on meaningful projects that directly impact GE Vernova products.
- Gain experience in a world‑class engineering center in Querétaro, Mexico.
- Learn from experienced engineers and technical experts.
- Build a diverse engineering skillset through rotational assignments and advanced training.

- Work on 4 job rotations over 2 years in a variety of disciplines.
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world‑class technologists and experienced technical leaders.
- Participate in leadership development training with program members from other businesses and locations.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related disciplines) from an accredited university or college. Exceptional candidates with an undergraduate degree (3.8 GPA or equivalent 90/100 average and outstanding extracurricular portfolio) may be considered.
- Maximum 2 years of professional experience (student co‑op or internship experience is highly appreciated).
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities: numerical methods, college‑level mathematics (algebra, calculus), and college‑level physics.
- Passion for learning technology & innovation: motivated, curious, self‑learner.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings, including one‑on‑one, small, or large groups, and with stakeholders and upper leadership.
- Ability to face difficult issues and support others,
providing direct and actionable feedback.
- Team player: ability to build trust and commitment with colleagues in a high‑performance team.
- Resilience: capacity to adapt to fast‑paced changes, switch between technical disciplines, and shorten learning curves.
- Demonstrated integrity in all business and academic dealings.
- Legal right to work in Mexico. GE Vernova will not sponsor individuals for legal permits or visas.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Excellent academic records (scholarships, travel bursaries, and research projects are a plus).
- Knowledge of engineering computing tools (Ansys, Unigraphics/NX, CAD/CAE tools, CFD tools, MATLAB, Simulink or Scade).
- Strong time‑management skills: capacity to configure a balanced routine that accommodates project assignments, academic activities, and personal time.
- Ability to develop personal connections with people and manage projects and initiatives (extracurricular activities, community service, and volunteerism are highly valued).
