We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Compliance Engineer to ensure our products, processes, and operations meet regulatory, industry, and corporate compliance standards. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to identify regulatory requirements, conduct testing, maintain documentation, and support product certifications.

The Compliance Engineer will play a key role in risk mitigation and ensuring product and operational integrity.

Responsibilities

- Leverages engineering fundamentals and organization to make sound decisions on complex technical issues.
- Detailed understanding of market and implications for business.
- Proactively challenge and drive the organization to deliver improved quality and performance related to engineering design.
- Participate and drive product strategy.
- Maintain product documentation (drawings and specifications).
- Direct interaction with customers to solicit product specifications, schedule expectations, and budget.
- Conduct corrosion research and welding characterization with strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, mechanics, fluid, thermo, and heat transfer.
- Apply advanced knowledge of basic electrical circuits, microelectronic assembly, statistical methods, process control fundamentals, and product test processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods – welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, machining, stamping, molding, and forming; basic knowledge of core manufacturing processes.
- Lead mechanical design activities while participating on cross‑functional New Product Development (NPD) teams.




- Assist with design prototype builds and production validation activities in collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
- Support design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding, brazing, assembly, and material handling.
- Ensure products and processes comply with national and international standards (e.g., UL, CE, FCC, ISO, RoHS, REACH).
- Coordinate and perform compliance testing, work with third‑party certification bodies, and oversee regulatory approvals.
- Maintain compliance documentation, test reports, technical files, and regulatory submissions.
- Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential issues.
- Collaborate with R&D;, Quality, and Engineering teams to integrate compliance requirements early in the design phase.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and implement compliance‑related policies, procedures, and training to enhance organizational adherence to regulations.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry groups to stay informed of changing compliance requirements.

Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical,



Mechanical, or a related Engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in compliance engineering, regulatory affairs, quality, or product certification.
- Familiarity with integral compliance regulations (UL, CSA, FCC, CE, ISO 9001/14001, REACH, RoHS).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with compliance testing, laboratory environments, and regulatory documentation.
- Proficient in compliance software, document management systems, and engineering tools.
- Strong team player with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and external customers.
- Preferred experience in industrial, electronics, aerospace, or automotive industries.
