Plant Controller - Electronics Manufacturing Services - Guadalajara

About the company

Our client is an international Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company serving leading general customers across multiple industries. Following its recent acquisition by a larger international group, the Guadalajara plant is experiencing strong growth and significant investments, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plant Controller to become a key business partner for the site's leadership team.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Administration, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance, supporting operational decision-making and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the Finance Business Partner for Operations, supporting Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Management teams.

Analyze manufacturing performance, product profitability and cost variances, providing recommendations to improve financial performance.

Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial analysis processes.

Monitor inventory valuation, standard costs and manufacturing variances.

Perform detailed product costing, COGS analysis and margin analysis.





Support pricing decisions and commercial profitability analysis.

Coordinate monthly IFRS reporting packages and financial closing activities.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives together with Operations to optimize manufacturing costs and operational efficiency.

Support investment analysis, CAPEX evaluation and business case development.

Prepare management reports and KPIs to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience as Plant Controller, Cost Controller or Industrial Controller within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing and manufacturing finance.

Experience working with ERP systems (SAP FI/CO preferred).

Advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical mindset and business acumen.

Ability to work closely with Operations and influence business decisions.

Fluent English.
