**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is: #LY-Hybrid This role is contributing to the NEMA Motors/Motion in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga. You will be mainly accountable for: To optimize costs throughout the procurement process including negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and implementing cost-saving initiatives. The goal is to reduce costs while maintaining the desired quality and service levels. To ensure timely deliveries and quality trough an effective supplier selection, performance evaluation, and collaborative engagement. To collaborate with strategic suppliers to improve their capabilities and capacities. It involves providing technical assistance, training, and resources to the suppliers.



The goal of supplier development is to help the suppliers achieve continuous improvement and innovation, and to create a competitive advantage for the company. To mitigate risks and improving responsiveness. It involves identifying potential vulnerabilities, developing contingency plans, and diversifying the supplier base. To engage suppliers as strategic partners, leveraging their expertise, and exploring collaborative opportunities. To ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. It involves implementing transparent and responsible procurement practices to promote sustainability throughout the supply chain.
**Qualifications for the role**:
- You are immersed in negotiations and savings projects with steel commodities
- 4 years of experience in procurement, buyer, or related experiences
- Bachelor's degree in international business, industrial engineering, business administration
- Experience with SAP
- Advance English
- Nice to have Forecast and planning experience.
- 20% availability to travel local o foreign
