**What you’ll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**
A. The metrology technician is responsible to correctly setup, adjust, and provide corrective maintenance to production gages and daily verification of measurement instruments.
B. Verification known values in master pieces provided by process quality technicians to be used as reference to set up gages.
C. Maintain the calibration system up to date
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
A. Provide quality support and guidance on all equipment installs, runoffs, PPAP’s, and start of production ramp-up. Including MSA’s calibrated equipment’s, process control plans, etc.
B. Supporting the setup of site gaging and inspection labs.
C. Developing site quality documentation and supporting certifications.
D. Provide technical quality support to both internal customers and suppliers as needed.
E. Responsible to administer laboratory equipment, gages, measurement instruments, and proper order and 5s´s in the metrology laboratory.
F. Participate in production improvement meetings to provide a support function
G. Responsible of administration system of Gages (Software Gage Track)
H. Responsible of calibration services of instrumental and measurement equipment within the laboratory scope
I. Audit production lines to verify instruments within calibration period. Receive and send equipment to external calibration services,
help in develop and continuous work of calibration annual plan
J. Comply with the annual full layout program
K. Maintenance of laboratory equipment
L. Interpret drawing and technical document of customer
M. Verify master pieces used in setup and change over
N. Administrate and review document and report of external calibration
**Qualifications**:
**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE**
**Basic Qualifications**
A. Technical degree in accredited institution
B. Metrology Laboratory
C. Experience in Measurement Equipment
D. Geometrical Tolerance and Critical Characteristic
E. Prior experience working in a manufacturing industry
F. Prior experience with IATF, ISO and ISO 17025
G. Prior experience with Quality Core Tools of APQP, MSA, PFMEA, PPAP and SPC
H. Prior experience with statistical software (ex. Minitab)
I. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly processes, equipment technology, and equipment capability
