**SUMMARY**
The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) covers the customer service role as the primary transactional based day to day contact for Customers and serves as an integral point-of-contact between both ProTrans and Customer. The Supply Chain Manager plays a crucial role in fostering professional relationships with customers at all levels while delivering operational excellence
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers across various management levels.
- Manage customer service operations, particularly in the logistics or automotive sector, utilizing strong interpersonal skills and self-regulation.
- Logistics Plan Management: responsible for fully understanding the logistics plan for their customer. Gather, understand, and submit complete changes/adjustments to the plan.
- Responsible to enter bid requests as necessary to accommodate the plan and adjustments to the plan.
- Responsible to ensure unplanned requests are handled for the customer and/or to arrange expedite shipment needs effectively communicating with ProTrans’ Expedite team.
- Communicate with transportation carriers to confirm pickups/delivery exceptions.
- Facilitate successful border crossing operation in conjunction with Customer and Customs Broker.
- Handle high-pressure situations with the ability to escalate issues to senior management when necessary.




- Manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities efficiently, ensuring that deadlines and objectives are met.
- Perform detailed data analysis, leveraging strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and web-based Business Intelligence tools to track trends and promote continuous improvement.
- Travel across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, requiring a valid passport, visa, and driver's license.
- Maintain flexibility in working hours and be adaptable to a hybrid work model.
- Quickly grasp new concepts and adapt to changing environments while seeking short
- and long-term improvements.
- Remain compliant with Customs and C-TPAT regulations and procedures.
**QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, OR, minimum of five years’ experience in a related field. Automotive logistics experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, particularly in logistics, transportation or the automotive industry.
