**Description**
This position is responsible for verifying work done in the shop and in the field, and managing requests for parts purchase and repairs. This work executes preventive maintenance programs for leveling and suffocation correctors, and guarantees safety and efficiency in the movement of trains.
**Accountabilities**
- Verifies the work completed in the shop and the field complies with the procedures and catalogs and guarantees the availability of the equipment.
- Manages the preventive maintenance program.
- Completes the requests for the purchase of spare parts and repairs to request his authorization and carry out the corresponding procedures.
- Understands the relevant business metrics and applies effective tactics to sustain a culture of operational effectiveness that produces teams of high performing, engaged and empowered operational leaders.
- Identifies when a rule/regulation/policy has been violated and has one-on-one accountability conversations with an individual who has not met expectations, using KCS Candor, Aligning the Stars & KCS ABC's, and have the individual produce better results.

**Required**
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
**Preferred**
- Previous Kansas City Southern experience
**Working Conditions**
- Shift work is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support critically important railroad operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned. Schedule assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays.
