Leads troubleshooting, process validation, equipment implementation, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and sustain manufacturing performance.What a typical day looks like:Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.Support and optimize SMT manufacturing processes, including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow and inspection processes.Monitor and improve SMT line performance through yield analysis, downtime reduction and process optimization.Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.Lead troubleshooting activities related to SMT defects, including solder bridges, insufficient solder, tombstoning, misalignment and component placement issues.High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues.Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.Hold up and oversee new process equipment production.Support installation, qualification and validation of SMT equipment and related manufacturing processes.Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).




Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters.Develop and maintain process settings for stencil printing, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow ovens and AOI systems.Develop, implement and take ownership of process control methodologies.Trouble shoot process related issues.Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.Evaluate and select various engineered materials, including solder paste, fluxes and SMT consumables.Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements.Improve manufacturing techniques and throughput.Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities and yields.Develop and maintain process documentation.Review processing methods.Interface with production on all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer.Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.Guide cost improvement/reduction programs focused on SMT operations and manufacturing efficiency.The experience we're looking to add to our team:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role within the electronics industry.Hands‐on experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) manufacturing processes.Strong knowledge of solder paste printing, SPI, pick‐and‐place equipment,
