Job purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Change Management Engineer This position is responsible for coordinating customer requirements and internal needs across all operational areas of the plant, including new projects (launches), to implement engineering changes
Key responsibilities- Serve as a liaison between headquarters and BorgWarner SLP to meet project and customer needs.
- Act as a point of contact between the customer (various plants including Part Validation (PV), Specialist Technical Assistant (STA), Design Engineer (DE)), headquarters (PowerDrive Technical Center (PTC)), and BorgWarner SLP to fulfill both internal and customer requirements.




- Lead the development and execution of activities assigned to BorgWarner SLP, in accordance with project management guidelines established by Program Managers.
- Report program progress to plant management against the plan, including any changes or deviations from established plans.
- Provide feedback on the status of each project evaluation phase, based on phase criteria, and follow up on delayed activities.
- Prepare monthly project progress reports to ensure pending items are communicated and resolved.
- Review performance indicators during launch and production ramp-up phases.
- Maintain updated tracking of project operational levels, including issue escalation and risk identification by the team.
- Facilitate feedback among team members of new programs to continuously strengthen program management at the SLP facility.
- In coordination with the Quality Manager, notify customers in case of defective material during pre-production stages.
- Monitor production control for new programs (including forecast).
- Monitor production control for existing programs (including forecast).
- Coordinate validation runs (Prototype Trial Runs - PTRs) internally and with the customer.
- Ensure availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished goods (sample builds).
- Schedule and track work assignments related to the plant.
- Provide guidance and ensure resource availability for plant-related actions.




- Submit Supplier Request for Engineering Approval (SREA) through the customer portal and follow up on approval and implementation.
- Maintain updated engineering change databases (SharePoint, OneNote, Teamcenter).
- Minimize premium freight and inventory costs (pre-production).
- Minimize obsolete inventory costs (post-production).
- Comply with the Global Safety Program (GSSF), including safety rules, practices, and training as outlined in BorgWarner SLP's Internal Work Regulations.
This includes the use of required protective equipment and clothing.
The role must emphasize accident and illness prevention, take all reasonable precautions to protect oneself and coworkers, and report any injuries, hazards, incidents, or accidents to the immediate supervisor.
What we're looking for
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS- Schooling: : Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or related.
- Experience Time in similar position: 2+ years in a similar role.
- Technical knowledge required: Strong planning skills, supplier management, production scheduling, PPAP knowledge, project management, basic tools, product knowledge, material planning, blueprint and specification interpretation.
- Other requirements:
- Ford-specific requirements: COVISINT, PPAP, SREA, Alerts, PTR, WERS, VPP- Stellantis-specific requirements- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Power BI
