**About the Position**
Monteverde International School is seeking a **Learning Support Teacher** for the **High School**division.
This position provides **personalized instruction**and **academic assistance** to **students with diverse learning needs**, collaborating with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists to promote an inclusive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential.
The role also includes serving as a **substitute teacher** when needed.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and monitor **Individual Education Plans (IEPs)** for students with identified learning needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to **adapt instructional strategies** and ensure access to the curriculum.
- **Assess student progress**and provide regular feedback to teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, ensuring they are informed and involved in their child's progress.
- Maintain up-to-date **records and documentation**for each student's progress and learning support needs.
- **Substitute for High School teachers** and make substitution plans when required.
- Provide **professional development** to teachers on **inclusive education strategies**, differentiation, and classroom accommodations.
- Contribute to **inclusive practices** and a **positive school culture**, working with High School Principal.




**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in **Special Education, Inclusive Education, Psychology, Pedagogy,** or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum **3 years of experience** supporting **students with learning or disabilities**in an **international school**or multicultural environment.
- Experience developing and implementing **IEPs.
**:
- Strong understanding of **inclusive education** and differentiated instruction.
- **Fluent in English (required);** Spanish or another language is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
