Job SummaryThe role is as a proactive member of the Senior Management team of Nidec Traction to Create, Deliver, and Manage Strategies to achieve operational excellence within the manufacturing footprint of the business to achieve the ambitious targets of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and drive Continuous Improvement across all manufacturing related areas of the business. Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff and mentor them as they develop new skills. Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.

Job Description
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall responsibility for Manufacturing activities across the general business and developing the footprints in China, India, Mexico and the US to accommodate In Region For Region Manufacturing Strategy.
- Implement manufacturing best practices bringing vision, strategy, policies, processes,



and procedures to aid and improve business performance.Ensure that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet the business objectives and demands of the Nidec Group.
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
- Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process focusing on Base Line Profit (BLP).
- Be the owner of the manufacturing policy, guidelines, and any associated documents.
- Lead, develop, and implement variable cost productivity programs across all areas of responsibility.
- Formulate and Deploy Strategies to optimize the cost performance of the plant through capital investment programs targeting the adoption of Automation wherever appropriate.
- Develop and manage master production schedule and execute maintenance activity to ensure plant performance meets the OEE targets and strives to exceed them through innovation and the adoption of industry best practices.
