- Develop a functional analysis of a design and analyze all interactions between parts and the environment.
- Identify key parameters for each function and develop design specification that includes identification of Key Product Characteristics - Develop predictive models by conducting regression analysis (including the use of dummy and interaction variables as required) - Understand when to use a linear versus a nonlinear finite element model - Properly load and constrain a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model to accurately reflect the physical system - Properly interpret the FEA results considering singularities, convergence, linearity, etc.
