EHS Engineer STIVA 2
What will you do?
The EHS Engineer – STIVA 2 is responsible for supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements, and company standards. This position will assist in driving a proactive safety culture, environmental stewardship, risk reduction initiatives, and regulatory compliance throughout the facility.
How will you do it?
Environmental, Health & Safety Compliance
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine EHS inspections and audits throughout the facility.
- Assist in maintaining permits, licenses, and required regulatory documentation.
- Support preparation for internal and external EHS audits.
Safety Management
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and corrective action development.
- Assist in incident, near-miss, and injury investigations and recommend preventive actions.
- Monitor completion of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Support implementation of machine guarding, LOTO, PPE, contractor safety, and permit-to-work programs.
Environmental Programs
- Monitor waste management activities, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling.
- Support environmental reporting and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with air emissions, wastewater, and environmental compliance monitoring, as applicable.
- Promote waste reduction and environmental improvement projects.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct EHS orientations for new employees and contractors.
- Assist with safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and awareness activities.
- Support emergency response drills and safety committee activities.
- Promote employee engagement in EHS programs.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or industrial operations.
- Intermediate english.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience supporting audits and incident investigations.
- Technical Knowledge; Occupational safety regulations and standards., Environmental compliance requirements. Risk assessment methodologies, Incident investigation techniques, Emergency preparedness and response, Waste management practices.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Competencies; Strong communication skills, Problem-solving and analytical thinking, Attention to detail, Organizational and follow-up skills and Teamwork and collaboration.
