Job TitleManager, Software Engineering – iOSPosition OverviewInsulet Corporation, a medical device company that develops tubeless insulin pumps, seeks a highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of next‐generation medical mobile applications and SDKs.
The role is fast‐paced, highly visible, and has a direct impact on the lives of people living with diabetes.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage Scrum teams of iOS developers, including those local and remote.Engage in early stages of development to create, refine, and review requirements and specifications.Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX designers, and other stakeholders to translate high‐level requirements into low‐level design and components.Set and enforce best practices for software development: unit testing, code reviews, architecture consistency, and adherence to Insulet's design‐assurance SOPs.Coach and motivate team members, support career development, and provide hands‐on coding and code reviews when required.Evaluate current and new technologies, build prototypes, and recommend solutions aligned with industry standards.Provide strategic input to leadership, manage risk, and ensure deliverables are on time and of high quality.Respond to production escalations and coordinate resolution with internal and external stakeholders.Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science,



Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.10+ years of software development experience.5+ years of leading software development teams in mobile applications.2+ years of managing direct reports.Preferred Skills and CompetenciesExperience developing iOS applications in Swift and SwiftUI, including declarative frameworks.Knowledge of reactive functional frameworks (RxSwift or Combine) and Redux‐style architectures such as Composable Architecture.Experience developing Android applications in Java or Kotlin is a plus.Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy integration.Understanding of cloud technologies and protocols—APIs, REST, OAuth 2.0, JSON.Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using Git.Strong leadership, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Experience with FDA and HIPAA regulations is a plus.Physical RequirementsOccasional business travel within the United States and globally.
