Production Operator Lead - MX-1
The Production Operator Team Lead is responsible for keeping line equipment running (Blower, Labeler, Filler, Packer, Palletizer and Wrapper), including equipment stops and starts when required.
**Essential Functions**
- Always act in strict adherence to plant safety standards.
- Responsible for the correct filling out and updating of line logs including machinery status reports, quality tests, downtime, etc.
- Understand and follow company safety rules including safe operation of cranes and equipment to perform daily activities.
- Maintain general cleanliness on the production floor including scrap area and compactors.
- Maintain the proper level of materials in line: adhesive, cardboard, plastic wrap, label, preforms, caps and all that is necessary to ensure the continuity of production and the operability of the equipment.
- Ensure that production complies with the quality standards defined by the company through the validation of the established controls and the correct filling of records on the production floor, likewise, it is your responsibility to report any quality defects.
- Assist in support tasks in any production area when required.
- Perform lubrication and cleaning activities as often as required within their work area.
- Participate directly in maintenance activities in coordination with your direct boss, both in the operation of the shift and in the execution of Preventive Maintenance.
- Stack, pack and return to the warehouse all material not required on the production line, as well as maintain order and sufficient quantities of materials to be used on line within their designated area.
- Availability to rotate day and night shifts as required.
- Ensure that food safety practices and any applicable SQF System requirements are maintained.
- Communicate any deviations, problems and/or abnormalities with equipment, processes and products.
- Responsible for developing failure analysis and troubleshooting skills with root cause identification.
- Have Ability to operate and maintain peripheral areas such as Injection, Utility Services, Water Plant, Mineral Preparer and Ozone Generator.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 Years - Experience in productive and basic maintenance position
- 4 Years - Experience in manufacturing and maintenance with electromechanical and/or automation equipment
- 4 Years - Experience managing people/projects

- Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 Years

**Competencies**
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, Oracle Business Systems, Infinity QS, etc.
- Knowledge of operation of automated machines and robots through HMIs.
- General knowledge of production processes
- Ability to work under pressure in complex environments.
- Problem solving
- Elimination of waste
- Knowledge of Quality and Safety standards.
- Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, and electronics.
- Knowledge of injection, blow molding, filling, packaging, and automation.
