**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**:
- ** Team Building**: Support the expansion of the International IT team by hiring, training, and integrating new resources (contractors, consultants, or full-time) into the Quality Engineering team.
- ** Communication**: Oversee project progress concerning time, scope, quality, and budget.
Communicate project status and updates across the PMO and senior leadership.
- ** Strategy**: Develop and implement testing strategies and timelines, including functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across various platforms.
Create test plans and test cases/scenarios based on project needs.
- ** Flexibility**: Work within a global organization, requiring flexibility in scheduling meetings to accommodate different time zones for various teams and vendors.
- ** Proactivity**: Break down large, complex projects into manageable tasks for iterative delivery.
- ** SDLC**: Lead the Quality team in adopting automation test scripts and ensure a comprehensive understanding of the SDLC process and methodologies.
- ** Environment Setup**: Set up testing environments on various platforms as needed.
- ** Documentation**: Write user acceptance and regression testing criteria.
Design and document test scripts based on business requirements, functional and technical requirements, user stories, and business use cases.
- ** Issue Resolution**:
Troubleshoot issues, analyze debug logs, and document, track, and validate defects in the bug tracking system with clear summaries, screenshots, expected behavior, actual behavior, and additional details.
**Job Requirements**
- Great English proficiency (B2+ Written and spoken)
- 3+ years of experience in Software QE/Test role
- Impeccable punctuality (schedules are flexible but being in time for meetings is crucial)
- Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field) OR relevant certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Agile software development methodology.
- Knowledge of writing, validating, and executing test cases.
- Familiarity with APIs, including calling SOAP and REST endpoints using JSON and XML data.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and JavaScript for software development or automation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
**Nice to have**
- Experience with any test management tool.
- Knowledge of modern tech concepts such as Microservices, Cloud Native apps, Kubernetes, or equivalents.
- Familiarity with retail systems.
- Experience with bug-tracking systems, including Jira and other Confluence tools.
- Basic expertise in writing and executing SQL queries.
- Knowledge of any CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and any BDD automation framework model, such as JBehave or Cucumber.
**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**
This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times.
We operate under a adaptable core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times.
Additionally, we offer the flexibility to work remotely.
