Position Objective

Lead and oversee the Purchasing function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, strong supplier performance, and alignment with production and operational goals. This role is responsible for driving purchasing strategy, improving processes, and maintaining effective communication with U.S.-based teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Purchasing department, including supervision and development of purchasing staff
- Own the end-to-end procurement process (RFQs, supplier selection, PO creation, and follow-up)
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and lead times
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with key vendors
- Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules
- Oversee import/export purchasing documentation and compliance
- Partner with Logistics, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure smooth material flow
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and system utilization (ERP)
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed
- Prepare and present purchasing metrics and reports (KPIs, cost savings,



supplier performance)
- Support strategic initiatives such as vendor consolidation, cost reduction, and risk mitigation

Qualifications & Requirements

- 5–8+ years of experience in Purchasing / Procurement
- 2–3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environments (highly preferred)
- Strong experience with international suppliers and import/export processes
- Advanced English (100% required) – must be able to communicate effectively with U.S.-based teams
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

We are seeking candidates who reside in Tijuana. The salary will be determined during the selection process, based on the candidate’s experience and profile.

Sueldo: $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 a la semana
