**Job Summary**
This entry-level role focuses on payroll data validation, reporting, and employee support, while ensuring compliance with Mexican labor and tax regulations.
The position works closely with HR, Finance, and plant operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Payroll Support**
- Assist in processing weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll
- Review and validate time and attendance records, including overtime, shifts, and absences
- Help calculate earnings, deductions, benefits, and adjustments
- Support payroll close activities under supervision
**Compliance & Documentation**
- Ensure payroll processes comply with Mexican labor laws (LFT), IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR, and SUA requirements
- Maintain organized payroll files and documentation
- Assist with internal audits and government-related requests
**Reporting & Analysis**
- Prepare basic payroll and headcount reports
- Support payroll reconciliations and variance reviews
- Update payroll trackers and databases accurately
**Systems & Processes**
- Enter and maintain employee data in payroll and timekeeping systems
- Assist with testing payroll system changes or updates
- Help identify data issues and escalate discrepancies
**Employee Assistance**
- Respond to basic employee payroll questions (pay slips, deductions, bonuses)
- Assist in resolving payroll errors or adjustments




- Coordinate with HR on employee changes impacting payroll
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience
- Basic knowledge of Mexican payroll concepts (ISR, IMSS, INFONAVIT)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry, tables)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Internship or experience in manufacturing or plant environments
- Familiarity with payroll or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, ADP, CONTPAQi, NOMINPAQ, Workday)
- Understanding of time and attendance systems
