The Incoming Inspection Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that materials, components, and raw materials received from suppliers meet established inspection criteria before entering production.
Participates and recommends continuous improvement activities within receiving and inspection areas.
Leads and coordinates the Incoming Quality Inspectors and is responsible for the MRB (Material Review Board) activities including containment, coordinating and expediting completion of necessary dispositions.
**Job Requirements**:
Experience in manufacturing/ aerospace/ automotive industry.
- Familiar with PPAP, and supplier quality processes.
- Familiar with AS****/ISO**** standards.
- Familiar with Root Cause Analysis (5 Why's, Fishbone Diagram, etc).
- Excellent Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
- Experience leading or coordinating inspection teams.
- Experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Must be very organized, detailed oriented and accurate.
- Ability to work with specific computer software.
Extensive spreadsheet analysis required.
- Familiarity with industry terminology.
- Collaborative skills.
- Ability to lead cross functionality.
- Good communication and Team building skills

1.Inspection and Validation: Perform or oversee physical, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials (IQC - Incoming Quality Control).
Ensuring materials are conforming to Inspection criteria identified.
- 2.Maintaining and Updating the DIR software inspection criteria in conjunction with the Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) directions.
- 3.Team Leadership: Lead, guide, and coordinate Incoming Quality Inspectors, ensuring proper workload distribution, training, and adherence to inspection procedures.
- 4.MRB Management: Responsible for discrepant items in Material Review Board (MRB) and ensuring any supplier related non-conforming materials are contained, including purging activities, coordinating and expediting completion of necessary dispositions.
Accurate data of entry of the ERP system.
- 5.Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and segregate defective materials and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in ETQ.
- 6.Responsible for reporting and meeting KPIs related to MRB cycle time, Incoming inspection cycle time,
Incoming inspection non-detection of non-conforming material and presenting during monthly meeting.
- 7.Participates and completes assigned actions related to Purchasing QRQC.
- 8.Responsible for ensuring the items on the Hot list for incoming inspection are completed daily.
- 9.Responsible for ensuring the necessary tools and fixtures are available for inspection to meet inspection checkpoints.
