SECTION I GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Emergency Response Specialist is responsible for executing the system for prevention mitigation preparedness and emergency response related to fires spills of hazardous chemicals as well as search and rescue in accordance with applicable legal and prevention requirements for local sites
SECTION II EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Minimum education
Bachelor's degree in Civil Protection Industrial Engineering or related field or
Professional firefighter
Experience
Minimum of 2 years in emergency response area
Conduct training execute drills and inspect emergency response equipment identify fire risks and potential emergencies operate and drive emergency vehicles
SECTION III KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
STPS regulations Civil Protection ISO ***** NFPA
Functionality of mobile equipment and fixed fire protection systems
Operation of fire pumps and emergency alarm systems
Physical and mental fitness for emergency response
Effective oral and written communication
Self directed leadership ability to work with mínimal supervision and execute work plans
Knowledge of search and rescue techniques
DC 5 certification in fire extinguisher use and fire prevention is desirable
SECTION IV MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure established training in extinguisher use hoses prevention fire response hazardous chemical spill control search and rescue
Execute the fire investigation process
Approve cutting and welding permits
Conduct GEMBAS according to established checklistDevelop drill processes
Monitor ensure and carry out purchasing processes in accordance with the annual budget
Inspect fixed fire protection systems monitor towers suppression systems ANSUL ECARO KIDDE and fire alarm systems
Inspect clean and ensure replenishment of firefighter PPE SCBA portable extinguishers hose cabinets spill response kits




Monitor follow up and close findings from system maintenance tests of fixed fire protection systems monitor towers suppression systems ANSUL ECARO KIDDE and fire alarm systems
Audit inspection of emergency doors performed by maintenance and record non compliances in Enablon
Ensure emergency response documentation files are updated and available
Ensure update of internal civil protection program documentation and official reports
Follow up on fire risk management process
Follow up on the Defender and or fire truck verify preventive and corrective maintenance results daily inspection foam refill cleaning and washing
Develop ideas to improve site performance according to established goals
Ensure compliance with BRP Quality and EHS policies
Follow BRP values and behaviors
