**Position Overview**
We are seeking an experienced IT professional with specialized expertise in **Avaya phone system configuration and administration**.
The contractor will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing our Avaya communication systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations across the organization.
This role is project-based and requires a hands-on professional who can deliver high-quality results with mínimal supervision.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure security and functionality.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues related to Avaya voice systems, hardware, and integrations.
- Collaborate with internal IT staff to assess business requirements and implement system enhancements.
- Provide user support and training for Avaya system functionality as needed.
- Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.




- Ensure compliance with company IT standards, security policies, and industry best practices.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience configuring and managing **Avaya phone systems** (Avaya Aura, Avaya IP Office, or related platforms).
- Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies, SIP protocols, and telephony systems.
- Familiarity with call center features, reporting tools, and system integrations.
- Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- **Relevant certifications (e.g., Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS) or Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS)) are a plus, but not required.
