**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and optimize Azure Data Warehouse, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies, troubleshoot issues, and maintain operational excellence in both PaaS and IaaS environments.
- Oversee user onboarding, administration, and security, integrating with enterprise security protocols, auditing, and monitoring systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data ingestion processes using IICS and Azure Data Factory.
- Monitor and manage Azure workloads, focusing on cost optimization and resource allocation.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a SQL DBA or Azure Data Platform Engineer.
**Must-Have Skills**:
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Warehouse, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake administration, including performance tuning.
- Proficient in backup and recovery processes, troubleshooting,



and maintenance in PaaS and IaaS environments.
- Strong understanding of user onboarding, administration, and security integration with enterprise systems.
**Should-Have Skills**:
- Experience with IICS, Azure Data Factory, External Tables, Polybase, and Log Analytics.
- Knowledge of Azure workload management and cost optimization strategies.
**Good-to-Have Skills**:
- Familiarity with Netezza Data Warehouse, PostgreSQL, and Python scripting.
